Come and be inspired by circular economy in Denmark

Umeå municipality is currently conducting a feasibility study on circular economy. A study trip to Denmark on the 22 – 23 August is being organised for inspiration. There are only a few places left, don’t miss out and sign up this week!

Denmark has been quick to embrace the circular approach. Two high profile initiatives that have been recognised are Region Midtjylland’s coaching program Rethink Businessexternal link, opens in new window and Kalundborg Symbiosisexternal link, opens in new window. Since 2012, the Rethink Business has helped businesses and municipalities to move in a circular direction. The Kalundborg Symbiosis has linked a number of industrial companies in a cluster, where a waste stream from one company becomes the raw materials for another.

The participants of the study trip will be able to visit Kalundborg and Copenhagen, where the delegation will discuss with representatives of Rethink Business, and Denmark’s former Environment Minister Ida Auken, who is a strong advocate of circular economy.

Registration:

The study trip is open to participants from across the country. Last day to register in 28th June.
